Creating sustainable and equal sport events of the future

Sport is a supporting element in our society. It conveys values such as fair play, respect, tolerance and togetherness. Sustainability and diversity are playing an increasingly important role in sports. These are two important and central issues for the future of the entire international sports industry. Sport and its multifaceted fields of action must continue to move to the center of public and political discussion.
#neuland is dedicated to these issues and creates a platform where representatives of international sports organizers can exchange ideas on the topic of sustainability and diversity strategies in sports.
Events inspire people, often even crowds. Thousands of fans regularly gather in one place to cheer on their idols or to be enchanted by the protagonists' arts. In the process, the events - just like their visitors - leave an ecological footprint, which can be smaller or larger depending on the planning and organization.
At #neuland, high-profile speakers* from the sports industry will discuss the best strategies for staging economically and ecologically sustainable events, as well as for modern sports venue construction.
Equality - an equally often discussed topic. But where is equality actually given, where is there a need to catch up? We will discuss this topic with top-class guests from international sports - and with representatives of the media and business.

International Sports Impact Award

This year we are celebrating a premiere: the presentation of the "International Sports Impact Award". With this award, #neuland honors a person, a club or an organization that creates positive effects for as many people as possible in the world of sport through its initiatives and at the same time sets a strong sustainable signal for the change of existing problems. Sport is facing major challenges and must continue to develop or even reinvent itself on several levels. Sustainability, digitalization and diversity are the three levels that require a particularly positive "impact".
